A Hundred TiRobot® Orthopaedic Robot Systems Installed Enabling 10,000 Surgical Operations
Fifteen years of efforts have resulted in achievements in innovation and research. The system for orthopaedic trauma surgery and whole-segment spinal surgery developed by TINAVI, a pioneer in the development of medical surgical robotics in China, created a milestone in 2020, with 100 units installed and 10,000 operations performed, making it possible for 10,000 patients to regain health and having boosted the development of intelligent orthopaedic surgery.

TINAVI Medical Technologies Co., Ltd.Makes Access to the STAR Market
On July 7, 2020, the bell of the Star Market of Shanghai Stock Exchange rang, and TINAVI’ made its IPO debut and access to the capital market as a tribute to the 15th anniversary of the company’s efforts in innovation and research. The ringing bell marked the market recognition of TINAVI’s adherence to originality in research and its integration of innovation awareness into technology research, product development and manufacturing. It also indicated that, with the support of the capital market, TINAVI would continue to devote itself to the research and development and popularization of intelligent orthopaedic surgical technology, to empower the doctors and benefit the patients, promoting proprietary and controllable high-end medical equipment in China and serving the grand “Healthy China” strategy.

TINAVI Seen on Nature with a Product Developed Independently
In June 2020, TINAVI and TiRobot® Orthopaedic Robot System, a product developed independently by the company, were seen in the “Spotlight on Medical robotics in China” of Nature. With an average of 20 million cases of orthopaedic patients in China every year, 4/5 of which demand surgical treatment, as described in the magazine, TiRobot® Orthopaedic Robot System, one of the product portfolio of TINAVI, a company having been engaged in research and development for 15 years, provides minimally invasive, intelligent and accurate solutions to orthopaedic surgery, capable to perform surgeries on limbs, pelvis, and whole spinal segment (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral vertebra) and having achieved breakthroughs in multi-modal image registration, real-time patient tracking, automatic path compensation and other key technologies.

TiRobot Recon Total Knee Arthroplasty Robot Passed Innovation Review
In November 2020, Orthopaedic Surgery Navigation and Positioning System (model: TiRobot Recon), a robot for total knee arthroplasty developed independently by TINAVI, has passed the special review of innovative medical device and entered the stage of review and approval for innovative medical device registration. The system can provide support for surgeons in total knee arthroplasty, assist them to complete the design of individualized joint replacement surgery based on the anatomical and kinematic data of the patient, and complete osteotomy positioning for the location of knee prosthesis implantation.
With the scheme of robot-guided osteotomy, TiRobot Recon can complete positioning-based osteotomy without pulpotomy, pin inserting and tool replacement, greatly improving the accuracy of osteotomy, reducing the surgical trauma and increasing the surgical efficiency. No similar product is currently available on the market in China.

TINAVI Creates Doctor Training Center with Johnson & Johnson
In 2020, TINAVI worked with Johnson & Johnson in three sessions of robot surgery skills training program.
On October 31, 2020, a strategic cooperation plan was signed by TINAVI, Johnson & Johnson and Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine for the opening of the robot-assisted spinal surgery skills training program and the successful inauguration ceremony of “Robot-assisted Spinal Surgery Clinical Technology Application Center” at Showsite Center, strengthening the advantages and surgical skills of operations performed in eastern China with the TiRobot Orthopaedic Robot System.
On December 13 of the same year, TINAVI and Johnson & Johnson worked with Qilu Hospital of Shandong University in establishing the Robot-assisted Spinal Surgery Training Center and provided the “Preliminary and Advanced Robot-assisted Spinal Surgery Skills Training Program”, making the cutting-edge technology and application experience of spinal surgery assisted by the TiRobot® Orthopaedic Robot System more widely accessible to spinal surgeons throughout the province and even the whole country to benefit more patients with spinal injuries.
On January 6, 2021, the orthopaedic surgical robot project between TINAVI and Johnson & Johnson kicked off in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine in Zhuhai, marking that the TiRobot® Orthopaedic Robot System has “settled” in Zhuhai and had been put into clinical application as a typical representative of the new technological revolution in the medical field, with greater strategic importance, more growth potential and motivation.

Organizing the 3rd International Forum on Innovation and Development of Medical Robot 2020
On December 28, 2020, the 3rd International Forum on Innovation and Development of Medical Robot 2020, entitled “Innovation and Development of Medical Robotics in China”, was held successfully by Beijing Medical Robot Industry Innovation Center, TINAVI’s Holding Subsidiary, with well-known Chinese and foreign experts, scholars and entrepreneurs gathering together to discuss the ongoing development and the future of China’s medical robot industry and explore the new services and new pattern for the ecological construction of industrial innovation.

Report on the 3rd International Forum on Innovation and Development of Medical Robot 2020
As a leading player in medical robots, TINAVI attended the forum and had insightful exchanges with the experts and scholars at the forum. A milestone strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Beijing Medical Robot Industry Innovation Center, a holding subsidiary of TINAVI, with the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, for the purpose to build a medical robot technology innovation cluster, promote the development of the medical robot industry chain, and explore a brand-new pattern of intelligent development in the orthopaedic field.

TINAVI Creates a Joint Intelligent Orthopaedic Lab with Beijing Jishuitan Hospital
On December 9, TINAVI and Beijing Jishuitan Hospital opened the Joint Intelligent Orthopaedic Lab and signed an agreement on transformation of “orthopaedic surgical robot”. The agreement includes patent transfer, establishment of an intelligent orthopaedics research fund and a joint laboratory.

TiRobot® Orthopaedic Surgical System
Performed a Remote Minimally Invasive Surgery in Northeast China using 5G Technology
On June 27, 2019, President Tian Wei of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital made a success at the Robot-assisted Remote Operation Center in manipulating two TiRobot® orthopaedic surgical systems with 5G technology simultaneously for two patients in hospitals of different regions.

On December 28, Zhongguancun Management Committee organized a press conference on the Chain-strengthening Project of Zhongguancun Science Park and released the Plan for Implementation of the Chain-strengthening Project of Advanced, Precise and Cutting-edge Industries in Zhongguancun Science Park (2020-2025), together with a first list of technical demands released to all social sectors. Inaugural Meeting of the Competent Administrative Authority of Standard Technologies for Medical Robots
TINAVI Providing Support and Advice
On November 17, 2020, the “Inaugural Meeting of the Competent Administrative Authority of Standard Technologies for Medical Robots & 2020 Annual Meeting” was held successfully in Beijing. Zhang Songgen, TINAVI’s Chairman and member of the first Expert Group of the Competent Administrative Authority of Standard Technologies for Medical Robots, attended the meeting with constructive advice and recommendations for improving the construction of medical robot standard system and promoting the healthy development of the industry. As a leader of medical robot and the backbone of intelligent medicine, TINAVI will continue to assist in the standardization in the medical robot field and provide technical support for the development and scientific regulation of the industry.
